New Horizon

As Lacey Sturm bids goodbye to Flyleaf, she and the guys present the third studio album in the bands’ catalog: New Horizons. Again the group has shown that they are masters of atmosphere, weaving in between songs of sad reflection, fiery anger, and eerie graveyards. Flyleaf’s ability to maintain their dark characteristics while, at the same time, creating catchy melodies is one the key skills that set them apart. Lyrics drive their songs just as much as heavy guitar work and lines such as “There is no such thing as time inside this moment, no sun rising” are hard to forget. Despite the changes they’ve gone through, Flyleaf is still the hard-hitting band they always have been, and New Horizons will fit in perfectly with the rest of their music.
