The R&B, soulful sensation from NBC’s Songland, Fatherdude, has released a double single featuring “Your Eyes Only” and a cover of Bobby Caldwell’s “Open Your Eyes.”
“Your Eyes Only” is “a love song about the infancy of a relationship as two people slowly open up to each other.”
Based in New York City, Fatherdude is a multi-faceted artist most well-known for his incredible, powerful vocals and energetic, fun live show. The double single is executive produced by Grammy Award-winning duo, Brasstracks, and is a follow-up to his last EP, Billions.
Fatherdude‘s genre-bending style and willingness to explore other genres has allowed him to work with some of the greatest artists including San Holo and Benny Benassi as well as hip-hop legends Redman and Joell Ortiz. His experiences with these individuals has allowed him to create his own unique sound that blends pop, electronic, R&B, and rock.
FD elaborates, “‘Your Eyes Only’ is a love song about the infancy of a relationship as two people slowly open up to one another. My favorite part about this track is that it truly ends up going somewhere I don’t think many people would assume. It’s dancey, vibey, and sexy while maintaining rawness.”
