Andorra is thrilled about the release of their latest single, “Indian Queen”. Recorded at Philly Sound Studios, the track showcases the direction Andorra is sprinting towards as a band. The single is clean and pristine as it swoons listeners with simple, yet endearing lyrics. I had the pleasure of speaking with frontman Kevin McCall about the track and he was able to deliver some insight on how “Indian Queen” came about.
“‘Indian Queen’ was the first song that we wrote together under this new line up. We were very excited about how fast things were moving along, as well as how we were working together with new guitarist Dante DiLoreto. We went into Philly Sound Studios to track and finished most of it in that one session with Rich King behind the board. Mike Weiser later produced, mixed and mastered it.”
With new things sparking left and right for the band, the video was a way for the group to solidify their future. McCall says, “The song will be coming off our sophomore album set to be release in 2017. We filmed the video at DeSales University with our film major friends Tyler Sherman and Thomas Clark. The psychedelic aspects of the video complement the dream-like verses of the song. It is also a tribute the late Prince, hence all the purple. The song is about teenage love.”
So as all you readers can see, Andorra is premiering “Indian Queen” exclusively here first. Check it out and let their sweet indie-rock take you home.
