Infused into the very heart of Philly and its urban culture lies skateboarding at its finest. Rebellious. Innovative. Thrilling. Independent. These are just some of the vibes that allowed for the development of FDR, the largest DIY skatepark in the world. As a fully self motivated group of individuals, the skaters are holding their 4th Annual FDR Drunk vs Sober event in order to raise funds for their third year of construction of their latest project: a concrete bowl that will be the largest DIY concrete bowl ever built.
Go hard or go home seems to be the theory of Philly skate life here. This is the final push for them before winter comes. Skaters can enter the skate jams at $10 a head for Team Drunk or Team Sober, with judges taking notes on best tricks landed. The overall top three winners will receive an assortment of prizes from sponsors such as:
