Christ Schutz & The Tourists
Sunglasses at Starlight

Chris Schutz’s Sunglasses at Starlight feels very familiar – perhaps because it blends rock styles from the 60s through the 90s. Or maybe because it includes covers of classics “Route 66” and “All the Young Dudes”. It opens slowly with a bluesy guitar line on “Til we Rise” and doesn’t quite pick up steam until the mid point of the album. The song “Arizona” sounds like Springsteen playing at 60s beach party and will get you singing along “We all like American music”. Sunglasses at Starlight is not groundbreaking material, but maybe that is ok. Consider taking a listen the next time you are heading down the shore.
