Charles Fauna‘s frame of mind is clear in his latest single, “Listen” featuring Philadelphia’s own, Ivy Sole. Our society is so fast-paced and doesn’t take time to listen to each other. Fauna wants you to take a step back from whatever you’re doing, note everything that separates us and disconnects us as a society, and tell anyone that you’re “listening.”
Fauna‘s new single, “Listen”, tackles the idea that our pain isn’t something that has to isolate us, but it’s ultimately part of life, and that can unite us. Though we all deal with pain throughout life, it isn’t something that is unique to only ourselves. Sometimes we may feel so small compared with the world, however, we can encourage people to speak their truths, and help others to rise above the pain, the chaos of society, to come out on the other side completely victorious.
“The song is what I wished someone had said to me,” Fauna reflects, looking back at how it felt while writing the track. “I just wanted to believe that someone could hear me. That someone was listening.”
