Bottomless Pit
Shade Perennial
Reviewed by: Jason Sendaula
Bottomless Pit’s Shade Perennial is a straight line of ever improving and impressive sound. After eight years together, the quartet (formed in Chicago), shows true signs of continuing growth and cohesion. The pictures painted by songs like “Sacred Trench” and “Horse Trader” are inescapable. All the songs seem to tell a story and you want to hear them. We feel it’s definitely worth it to explore their earlier work and we hope that we don’t have to wait as long for between releases in the future.
