The 23-year-old Berlin native, Lxandra, is shares her new music video for the song, “Swimming Pools.” Throughout the video, the sole subject is Lxandra herself.
In the video, she blends nostalgia with a collection of youthful, airy colors paired with light, airy movements. From a press release, the video aims to showcase that “happiness can come within rather than materialistic desires.”
Lxandra says that “Swimming Pools” is about “being happy with what you have and showing a middle finger to the expectations of society and the world that runs on money,” she adds, “[it’s] about remembering who you are and where you come from and always holding on to that.”
