The San Diego art-rock veterans, Sluka, share their new single, “Vampire’s Ball,” out now. Their sound is somewhere between doom-metal and a little bit of David Bowie, but only Sluka. Their passionate and progressive sound sets this band apart from the rest in their genre.
Sluka is led by Christopher Sluka, and has recorded eleven studio albums over the course of his extensive career. Born near Seattle, Washington, he was exposed to various cultures, people, and ethnicities around the world, as he moved often growing up.
At the beginning of his career, he found himself in similar conversations with artists like Tears For Fears, INXS, Talk Talk, and Simple Minds. After recording a single in Los Angeles, he quickly developed an audience in Japan, where he released an additional two more albums.
Over the course of his storied career, his vision has grown and matured, just like any other artist, but his creative songwriting will always be at the forefront of his songs. His on-stage talent has allowed him to continuously sell-out venues for his performances, as well as television appearances, radio interviews, and other media opportunities.
