Alan Jackson is a legendary country music artist who took the stage at Musikfest this weekend. He has been in the music industry for 25 years and is celebrating by touring to 25 different locations, one of which was Bethlehem.
Jackson began the show with a fast tempo song that wound up the crowed. After getting the audience in the mood for the evening, he gave us some history of his life- raised in Georgia until finally moving to Nashville, TN to pursue country music.
The artist sang a variety of songs that he created over the years. Some of them included, “Remember When”, “Where I Come From”, “Drive”, “Pop a Top” and “Don’t Rock the Jukebox”. Of all the songs he performed there was one in particular that brought a significant amount of energy to the venue, “Where Were You When The World Stopped Turning”. Jackson wrote this song shortly after 9-11.
Throughout the concert, Jackson gave us some insight as to what inspires his songs and most of them are real life experiences. As the night came to a close, he wrapped up the show with a few more upbeat songs, including an encore. At that time, everyone who attended remained standing and clapping to the beat. It was an amazing experience and everyone seemed to have a great time.
