There are lots of events overflowing with attractions and contests during Philly Beer Week, but the Fishtown FestivALE keeps things simple and relaxed. Put together by Johnny Brenda’s, Fette Sau and Frankford Hall, this festival celebrates the beginning of summer with great beer and food outdoors, and live DJed music on the side to help you enjoy a truly beautiful afternoon. Johnny Brenda’s promises a great selection of beers, making good on the event’s name with Yards Philadelphia Pale Ale, Ommegang Witte, River Horse Lager and more, alongside pretzels, sandwiches and burgers to help wash down those delectable alcoholic beverages. On the musical front, the DJs will be serving up a prime selection of rock, soul and more to keep the festival vibe going, providing a perfect backdrop for the exquisite refreshments and gorgeous weather (hopefully!).
Located at Frankford Hall at 1210 Frankford Avenue on Frankford and Girard, the festival (or festivALE, if you prefer) will run from 12 PM to 8 PM on Saturday, June 7th. For more information, visit the event’s Facebook page here and its Johnny Brenda’s page here. As with most Philly Beer Week events, this one is 21+, so if you’re of age, come out and enjoy the sun with some great beer, music and food!
