The resort itself looks beautiful, with heated pools, hiking trails, tennis courts and more, so you might want to spend a few days there in addition to the day of the festival. It’s also not far from the city, so it won’t be too much of a hassle to get there for the weekend. And lest you forget that this is at heart a beer event, the festival promises unlimited, top-of-the-line free-flowing beer to satisfy the serious (and not-so-serious) beer fanatic. Finally, the festival will feature music from former American Idol finalist and blues-rock singer extraordinare Hunter Monroe, as well as an afterparty featuring long-running classic rock ’n’ roll band Black Diamond Express, two great live acts who well help make the Sunny Beach Beer Festival a blast.
The festival will take place this Saturday, June 28th, from 1 PM to 5 PM, with the afterparty running from 10 PM Saturday night to 2 AM Sunday morning. The Sunny Rest Resort is located at 425 Sunny Rest Rd in Palmerton, PA. Needless to say, this is a 21+ beer event, and attendees should be responsible in their drinking.
