Are you a sandwich aficionado? Looking to try some great food this Wednesday, and maybe even win some prizes? Union Transfer is hosting the Great Sandwiches event on May 28th, and it looks delicious. The event is City Paper‘s inaugural launch party for their annual Meal Ticket Magazine and will feature sandwiches from 26 local restaurants, such as Primo Hoagies, Phamous Phil’s BBQ, and Rotisseur. It will even include specially made sandwiches from celebrity chefs Eli Kulp, Scott Schroeder and Brad Spence, competing in a “Great Sandwiches Competition.” Attendees will get the opportunity to vote for their top sandwich and take some sandwich-assisted pictures to win prizes. Of course, it won’t all be sandwiches- try candy, beer and snacks provided by places like Philadelphia Brewing Company, Insomnia Cookies, and many more.
In addition to all of the wonderful sandwich-related attractions, the event, as previously mentioned, will also feature a raffle. All you need to do is bring a non-perishable food item with you that can be donated to Philabundance and you will be entered to win. The whole evening will also be soundtracked by music provided by DJ Holly Sue Allen. Great Sandwiches will only run from 6pm to 9pm on Wednesday, so be sure to get there on time and stay until the end.
Indulged in beer at the event and in need of a ride home? Great Sandwiches has partnered with Uber to offer you a great deal. If you have never used Uber before, try it out with a ride that is free up through $20 by using the promo code GREATSANDWICHES.
