Tonight, Tomorrow and Yesterday

After a five-year hiatus from an album release, Donna the Buffalo is back with Tonight, Tomorrow and Yesterday. The band’s career spans over 25 years and ten albums for Jeb Purer and Tara Nevins, who are the bands vocalists. Donna the Buffalo came back with a lively, warm and at times inspirational album.
The band has a wonderful mountain music vibe that seems to blend with some Cajun sounds as well. The album mixes to share upbeat life lessons and inspirational messages, like found in “All Aboard” and “One Day at a Time”, the true gems in the album. Strong vocals are paired with wonderfully different instruments in every track with a mix of vocals by Purer and Nevins.
While the songs are very upbeat and inspirational, there were moments when they seemed to go on forever, leaving a desire for the track to switch to see what the next track would hold.
