Today, the North Philadelphia-born, critically-acclaimed actor and artist, TJ Atoms, held a special holiday toy drive for Kenderton Elementary School, which was the same school that Atoms attended when he was growing up. Atoms will present approximately 400 students in kindergarten through 4th grade with a special gift.
Atoms shares, “Kenderton is home to me. I still have fond memories that I’ll continue to remember and cherish from my time there. It’s all about the children of today and tomorrow, and it means so much that I’m able to give back to my community right in time for the holidays.”
Atoms now make a name for himself in the entertainment industry as a someone-to-watch by starring in Hulu’s hit drama-biopic, Wu-Tang: An American Saga. The show follows the formation of the legendary hip-hop group, Wu-Tang Clan, from their iconic rise in the 90s. The show is executive produced by Wu-Tang members, RZA, and Method Man, with bandmates. The GZA, Inspectah Deck, Masta Killa, and Ghostface Killah serve as consulting producers.
In the series, Atoms stars as the group’s founding member, Russell “Ason Unique” Jones, a.k.a. Ol’ Dirty Bastard (O.D.B.), who is famous for his half-sung, half-rapped style.
