Americana artist, Will Jackson, shares his album, Songs From The Briarpatch, featuring a 10-song set of fantastic Americana tracks.
“Good Enough” is a beautiful piano-based track that almost reminds me slightly of Don Henley, and perhaps, a few of Jon Bon Jovi’s vocals. It features an excellent guitar solo and the track is just well-executed and sounds incredible. It’s definitely a stand-out track on the record.
Jackson paints a picture of life in the song, “Polaroid Parade,” and really shines in the way he’s song descriptive in his songwriting throughout the song. I love how he’s able to really illustrate what he’s going through throughout the song, as it makes it feel as like you can picture it in your head.
“Won’t See Me In Heaven” is also a fantastic, stand-out track with an interesting topic, but definitely a song you want to take a listen to. The next song, “Walking On Fire,” is excellent with great songwriting and a gentle, calming melody.
Jackson was born and raised in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and always grew up in a home filled with music. At age 14, he left his job at a waterpark to play his first paid gig and never has had a “real” job since. He attended Berklee College of Music for 2 years as a Songwriting major but moved to Nashville to find new ground. Jackson is poised to share these new songs on Briarpatch and play them for everyone!
