British Columbia native Kandle Osborne shares her new single, “Misty Morning,” and its accompanying music video today from her forthcoming album, Set The Fire, which is set to be released later this spring.
The song is about being loved despite flaws, imperfections, and hard times.
“I wrote ‘Misty Morning’ about the first time that I knew real love,” says Osborne in a press release. “This song brings the hard realities and stories we often tell ourselves right to the fore. With this track, I sought to explore the different motions of learning to love openly and be loved in return, despite my flaws and failures.”
The song pulls Osborne out of her comfort zone by just having her vocals and piano on the track. This allows the song to capture the vulnerable moment when the song was written.
“Men often have this idea of me as a performer. They think I’m this sexy, powerful rocker girl. And then once I’ve become a vulnerable, flawed, and real person, issues arise,” Osborne explains.
The single was produced by Michael Rendall, mixed by Rave, and mastered by CPS Mastering. The video is by Brandon William Fletcher with makeup done by Saint Lash Makeup and hair by Tess Ananda.
