Northern Virginia-based alternative/rock quartet, Reluctant Zero, is thrilled to announce the release of the single, “Hurt No More.” The track talks about anyone who has taken the extra step trying to help someone else.
“‘Hurt No More’ is a song about someone trying to fix a problem that isn’t theirs to fix. I think, at some point in life, we’ve all felt compelled to help someone we didn’t know that well because we found something inside them that we connected with. Hurt No More tries to encapsulate that feeling,” the band explains.
Reluctant Zero began in September 2018 by singer and rhythm Matthew Rector and drummer Christopher Scott. They were joined by bassist Dave Jones. By the end of 2018, as a trio, they had released two EPs.
In November 2019, the band welcomed Felix Barca on lead guitar, cementing the sound. The quartet spent most of 2020 writing and recording their full-length album, Missing Time. The album was produced by John Brooks.
Stay tuned for the band’s upcoming LP, Missing Time, and a potential album review of their record.
