Nashville’s rising modern-rock band, Icon For Hire, drop their new single, “Seeds,” and also announces their new album, Amorphous, out February 19, 2021, via Kartel Music Group.
Since the duo formed in 2007, they have garnered the listening ears of music lovers everywhere. Currently, they have over half a million monthly listeners on Spotify and over 600,000 followers across social platforms. Icon For Hire effortlessly blends heavy guitar riffs with elements of electronic production and soaring vocals from Bloomer.
At the core of the music, the message is positivity, self-care, and self-love, with painfully relatable lyrics from Bloomer. Their new single, “Seeds,” isn’t an exception and speaks to how oppression can create a fire and determination in us. “It is an underdog anthem, using the ‘seeds’ analogy to empower those who have been neglected or ignored,” says Bloomer. “Adversity making us stronger.” The band has explored this theme in previous songs like “You Can’t Kill Us.”
The duo worked with Grammy-nominated engineer, Romesh Dodangoda (Bring Me The Horizon, Don Broco, Busted, Kids In Glass Houses). The album has been completely funded by a Kickstarter campaign that raised over $263K in just 30 days.
Icon For Hire formed in 2007 and features vocalist Ariel Bloomer and guitarist Shawn Jump.
