Long Beach, CA-based rock duo, J and The 9’s, share a brand new track titled “Don’t Think About It.”
Front-woman and multi-instrumentalist, j9, and drummer, Chris Beatz, never could have expected how their lives could change through music. These days, j9 and Beatz are married, having traveled the world together, and relocated to California from New York City with their newborn son, Jack, and pets.
Only five years ago, the pair was in rival New York rock bands, and after they fell in love, they decided to join creative forces.
Over the years, they’ve been able to tour, and attend festivals like SXSW and visit South Korea for a show. A year later after purchasing an RV, they were able to tour the country with the Vans Warped Tour. After the Warped Tour, they traveled overseas to perform at the Lancaster Music Festival in the UK. All traveling didn’t phase them, and after returning to the States, they packed up the belongings and moved from NYC to California.
Shortly afterward, they embarked on their “The Extreme Tour” doing youth outreach in inner cities.
