Shotta Spence is a 24-year-old rapper/artist from Franklin, New Jersey, who has been on the uprising since releasing his debut project, Upfall, in 2016. This summer he gears up for the release of S.H.O.T.T.A. that will also feature recently released tracks “Arriba” and “Starship.”
Growing up in a culturally diverse town, Spence was met with a fusion of genres including Reggae, Dancehall, Jersey Club, Soul, Rock and hip-hop. His musical influences intertwined with those genres he was introduced to and results in music with a foundation in storytelling and positivity.
In a press release, he stated, “Music has the power to bring joy, healing, inspiration, and unity to people regardless of color, ethnicity, class, and background. It is a language that everyone can understand. Music is also a vehicle for social change and revolution…I want my listeners to believe in themselves and gain a positive outlook on life. I want them to feel inspired to achieve their dreams and spread positivity,” he says.
