The last Get Lucid event I went to at Underground Arts was one of the most visually and auditory stunning events I have ever been to. You can read all about experience here. From someone who showed up as a mere coincidence, knowing no back story of the Get Lucid camp or their righteous cause, I can confidently say that I was swept away by the feeling of community as well as the entertainment. For a collective of artists from the fields of music, sculpture/canvas/performance and poetry to join together in one evening of celebration, it truly says a lot about the people behind this thing. Not to mention it only costs $5 and that money is going to provide a great deal of support Women Against Abuse.
Friday, the 19th, GET LUCID is holding a fundraiser dance party for Women Against Abuse in celebration of all the amazing work they do for survivors of domestic violence in Philly.
