Self-Titled

Rock n’ roll musicians Randy Goodman, Christopher Norris, Daniel Miller and John Pebbles, all too familiar with the first-class artists of the country, got together the form what is now Linus The Moon, a Philly-based band that brings a British touch to the Philadelphia music scene.
If you have never heard of Linus The Moon, let me tell you that you are missing out on some frickin’ awesome tunes. Often compared to monsters such as David Bowie, the Beatles, Kinks, or Roxy Music, which might sound a tiny bit exaggerated at first, Linus The Moon is releasing their first LP, and it is out of this world.
Those four highly experienced musicians deliver powerful drums, good riffles, compelling music and well-written lyrics in this 14-track record and embody the very idea of real rock n’ roll. Linus The Moon’s self-titled new release is an extremely well rounded album, featuring both some good jams (“On My Fence”, “The Dancer”, “Wrong Way”…) and some beautiful and poetic slower songs (“Anonymous Song”, “Black Sheep”…) – the perfect record to listen to while driving around your car, with your windows down, or in the middle of a tiny, sweaty venue. The songs seem to be shaped for live performance, and listening to each track, one can, without much difficulty, picture the high-energy shows that these dudes could pull off.
Linus The Moon, although newly formed, proved its members’ talent, experience and musical knowledge with a very promising album. There is no denying that the band can go far, and I am already waiting not so patiently for some new material. Linus The Moon is definitely a band to keep an eye on – and when the whole world will know about them, you can be one of those cool kids saying “I knew about them before you did”. You’re welcome.
