Sugar Now

Cristobal and the Sea is a London based cross-European band set to release their debut album, Sugar Now, today. Their members come from Spain, Portugal, France, and the U.K. This internationality within the European continent meets and reflects organic variety in their music such as in “Sunset of Our Troubles” and “Fish Eye”.
In “Sunset of Our Troubles” the band is very dynamic and the music takes unexpected turns, and yet, consistently keeps an energetic performance and ensemble. This energy is also channel for well written lyrics reflecting the build up of the song arrangement.
“Fish Eye” has a very unique character and E.D.M. quality contrasting some of the acoustic sound from the previous track. Despite not being as dynamic as that previous track, the music itself creates contemplative vibes and repetitive messages to a cyclical song.
It is difficult to label a style to a musical group with such diverse repertoire and unique energy and arrangements as Cristobal and the Sea. Each track has its own particular elements and production to it, which positively builds a special trust relation from the listener to the band to stick to the songs and listen for where it takes us.
