Picture yourself relaxing in the warm summer sun and sipping a beer as the sounds of live music fill the air and enter your ears. Music festivals are an essential part to every music lover’s agenda, but they can also put a big dent in your wallet. Now, picture yourself enjoying a festival right in Philly’s backyard that doesn’t break the bank.
Ardmore Music Hall will be hosting the Live from the Lot outdoor music festival this Sunday. Doors open at 1:30pm on July 19th for an all ages show. Tickets start at $55, but a portion of the proceeds will go to the Ardmore Initiative, a non-profit supporting the local business district and local community efforts.
Musical performances will go on throughout the day, featuring Dr. John & the Nite Trippers, Led Zeppelin cover band Bustle In Your Hedgerow, Pink Talking Fish, and the American Babies with Tom Hamilton. Following the daytime performances, artist Marco Benevento will be hosting an indoor after party starting at 9pm.
The festival will also have food trucks from the Ardmore area, local craft artisans, as well as a craft beer tent with more than 20 beers on draught. With so many different events, the festival offers something for everyone’s interests.
For those festival-goers who wish to take a break from the heat, Ardmore Music Hall will be open until 7pm with air conditioning and an additional bar. Live streams of the concert will also be available inside, so you never miss a second of the music.
The event will be held at the Ardmore Regional Rail parking lot, located on 39 Station Avenue off of Lancaster Ave, Route 30. For more information and to purchase tickets, head on over to www.livefromthelot.com.
