This is the debut LP from artists Daniel Ahearn and Mindy Jones. Their sound is heartfelt and a low-key blend of their dreamy voices and percussion.
“Take Me Home” starts out with a simple blended male and female melody then turns into an old-timey sound reminiscent of a rowdy saloon that fades out like a dream. “Undone” is like a melodic lullaby. The songs on this album are slow, mellow, and romantic. “Love Lights the Way” is a soulful ballad, incorporating slow beats and an airy ambiance. The overall sound of Sirens is very ethereal, as if falling asleep or waking up to someone strumming simple love ballads on a guitar.
Fans of Feist, She & Him, Iron & Wine, and other soft and sweet vocal groups will like DA & The Jones.
