Billie Joe Armstrong and Norah Jones
Foreverly

Norah Jones and Green Day’s Bille Joe Armstrong collaborated to produce an album in tribute to the Everly Brothers. The result is Foreverly. The album is a complete cover of 1958’s Songs Our Father Taught Us, from the Everly Brothers. The two powerful voices worked wonderfully together in this album. Overall, a wonderful tribute.
The pop and folk sounds of their voices created an entirely new feel to the popular hits from the album. I wouldn’t go so far as to say a better sound than the classics, but many were very close to being more entertaining. Jones’ soft voice was the perfect contrast to the deep and sometimes scratchy tones from Armstrong. The standout track for me was “Rockin’ Alone”.
